The Lobster Pot Restaurant first opened in 1946 when Mr and Mrs John and Frieda Wilson turned their cottage Glan-Yr-Afon into a cafe serving lobster teas. in 1989 their daughter Lindy took over. When Lindy retired in 2004 long serving chefs and husband and wife Steffan and Wendy Coupe took over the business.
Wendy has since moved to front of house greeting customers as they arrive. Over the years with it's stunning seaside location and emphasis on a friendly family atmosphere The Lobster Pot has developed an incredible reputation for fresh seafood.
Local lobsters and crabs are supplied from the holding tanks next door by Lindy's son Tristan who has a shellfish merchant business.
Our mussels are supplied by Graham (also Lindy's son) straight from his mussel boat The Mare Gratia.
