- What is the check in time?
3pm usually although Moelfre is 4pm, however on some occasions we may be able to allow an earlier check in. We will arrange a check in time close to the start of your stay, please try to meet this time or send a message to advise that you are going to be late as we have several properties and it can be inconvenient if you do not arrive on time. Occasionally we will provide key arrangements but we do like to greet all our guests on arrival.
- How close are the cottages to the beach?
Gadlys Farmhouse and Cottage is approximately 4 minutes walk to Church Bay Beach as is Seaview Lodge
Aotearoa is approximately 5 minutes walk to Church Bay Beach
Hafan is about a 5 minute walk to Porth Swtan, Church Bay Beach
- What is the check out time?
10am for all properties - a later check out may be arranged for an extra charge please confirm with the owner as it isn't guaranteed.
- How much deposit do I pay to book my holiday?
We take a 30% booking deposit when you book and the remainder is payable 6 weeks prior to arrival.
- Am I booking direct with the owner of the cottages?
Yes you are, there are no additional booking fees or commission charges if you book via this website.
- Are dogs allowed?
Yes, pets are welcome in all our properties provided the owner is sensible, and clears up all trace of the dog both inside and outside the property when they depart and don't leave the dog unattended in any property. All information is detailed on our booking form.
- Are Stag and Hen Parties allowed?
Sadly we've had mixed experiences with allowing these, we will consider each request on its merits and you may be asked for an additional damage deposit as a guarantee of responsible behaviour.
- Are the cottages let all year round?
Yes we do, all properties are fully heated some with log fires so are cosy and warm in winter.
- Does Gadlys Farmhouse and Cottage form one large cottage?
Yes, they are connected by two doors and open seamlessly into one very large cottage suitable for family or friends in groups.
- How do I know my booking is secure?
Gadlys Coastal Cottages has been open for 10 years, we have a long history of welcoming guests and all our reviews can be read online. You will be issued with a booking form which forms a contract on booking and we recommend as with most holiday providers that you take out holiday insurance.
- What do you supply so I know what to pack?
We supply tea towels, a J cloth, pan scrub and a small amount of washing up liquid and 2 dishwasher tablets in each kitchen.
In each bathroom or ensuite we supply liquid soap, bathmat and 1 toilet roll per toilet , we do not supply personal towels although they can be hired if requested.
For log fires in winter we make up the fire and leave 1 bag of logs, some kindling and paper. In warmer weather we clean out the fires and just leave a basket of logs at the side of them for cooler evenings.
We also provide a welcome cake and a small amount of teabags, instant coffee and sugar but do not provide milk.
- What is my damage deposit for?
The damage deposit which differs from property to property is detailed fully on the form. Please be aware that any excessive cleaning may result in you having some monies deducted from your damage deposit.
